What a summer 1990 was! Glorious sunshine, Italia 90 world cup, England reaching the semi finals, Gazza on the world stage – all played out to the iconic England anthem “World in Motion” by New Order.

This was New Orders first and only UK number one and for once here was a footy song that people actually liked! Several England footballers are credited for providing vocals on the track including Paul Gascoigne, Chris Waddle and Peter Beardsley who also appear in the songs music video. Most notable however is the famous John Barnes rap towards the end of the song.

The artwork for this design is in celebration of what was a great summer of English football on the worlds biggest stage. Artwork is produced on original 12 inch singles and this is the last song the band would ever release under the famous Factory Records label.
